Well, as long as this post is alive maybe someone will notice the plant and know what it is.
Meanwhile, I have many more unknowns planted through out the property.

hybrid ti (cordyline) or hawaiian friendship plant there are 100's of varieties yours maybe called Auntie Lou...is that good enough lol

type in auntie lou hawaiian - there is a specialist nursery in hawaii with lots of different looking varieties

i think the other plant yu were looking for may also be a type of cordyline ...some type of smaller version of the new zealand cabbage tree

smanthus heterophyllus 'Ogon'

This bright yellow form of the tea olive looks like a holly, but is in fact in the olive family. The leaves are glowing yellow throughout the year. In fall the sweetly scented white flowers are a wonderful bonus. This variety has been grown in Japan for many years but has never become available here. It grows more slowly than other Osmanthus selections. Grow with morning sun or in light shade; color is brightest with strong light.

kinda looks like this but the colours are off!!
