Yes, MG even offered to let me use her pics for the blog's "The DR We See" series. However, it would involve alot of sifting, organizing, etc. on my part and I'm trying to encourage her to do so, as I would JD. Both are bright and creative folks from what I can tell, so I know that they both could put together a great small collection of photos around a theme.

I prefer to let the people who actually took the pics to organize and explain it their way, that way we see the DR through their eyes, not mine. And generally speaking in blogs, that personalized approach, particularly regarding photos, garners much more interest in the readers.

Folks. One thing to keep in mind here, my reef pics are just showing what's underwater, these are the reefs just off the coast. Fortunately, some of them are still in reasonably good condition and they deserve to stay like that. I found Keith's previous reef posts on the blog here the other day, lots of interesting stuff there. These reefs are important as a part of the planets ecosystem and deserve some sort of a protection.

What can be done to these things? I came across this piece of equipment today, I certainly hope the brakes are better than the engine.

I know that the Peace Corp was performing a reef study in the Barahona area and would have tons of Photographs.
The southwest is probably has the most undisturbed reefs in the country. I have shots of the rise in the high mean tide marks along the SW coast
