Patriotism is ingrained in all of us, Pichardo, and I salute you for being what I consider to be a "Patriot".
One should never be an "apologist" for their country.
Recognizing it's shortcomings and commenting factually about those is one thing, but never apologize to the world for them. There are many circumstances under which countries make their policy decisions, and we are never privy to those circumstancies. It's called "Government Secrets".
