Default Mango Festival

I just wanted to remind everyone in forum, about the upcoming Mango festival in Bani this weekend.

It starts from Wed. June 17 and ends on Sunday June 21st.

I went there last year, and you can find almost every mango variety under the sun, and even buy plants too of your favorite variety.

It will be located in the main Park square in center of town.

I know the event organizer, and will try and post later with any scheduled events at the festival.

Thanks Tropicdude for the information - mangos are my favourite fruit on the whole planet, so if we can make it - we will! We haven't been before - so are all the roads in good condition? (thinking of Constanza!)

I go to Bani often, my wife is from there, from Santo Domingo, its about a 45 minute drive, the road is still under construction in some parts but is paved, no pot holes, some parts are 4 lane.

from Constanza, I wouldnt go down via Ocoa, I have been told that, the road is in very bad shape, some stream crossing ( no bridge ) etc.

I was thinking of video taping some stuff and putting it on youtube too.

anyway hope you can make it.
