Sept. 11th Victims Compensation Fund

CNN broadcast a news conference today with Kenneth Feinberg, Special Master of the Sept. 11th Victims Compensation Fund. In brief he made an announcement that families of undocumented aliens need not fear prosecution if they submit for compensation through the Sept. 11th Victims Compensation Fund. "Everybody out there who is eligible will be compensated", he said. This news is of interest to the stateside Dominican families who have suffered in silence because of a loss of a loved one as a result of Sept. 11 and have not filed for compensation for fear of prosecution in the States. They should do so. If anybody is aware of a Dominican family in this situation it would be a kindness to pass on this information to them.
