Presidente Beers

Having lived in the DR for the past 6 years, I am deeply depressed.

I am now here in Mexico,and lack TWO distinct Dominican flavors !

Cafe Santo Domingo Beans &

Presidente Beer !

Does anyone know how I can get either Cafe Santo Domingo or the best beer I have ever had the pleasure to drink

I can buy Barcelo Añejo quite easily - took some finding !

Just pack up and leave. I was in Playa for Christmas/NewYears because I didn't plan in advance and couldnt book a Frequent flyer trip to the DR because they were sold out and the airfare was over a thousand dollars. I had plenty of Delta FF'er miles and they codeshare with Aero Mexico so I ended up in Playa del Carmen via Cancun Airport. Personally I thought it sucked. I have a friend that had a piece of a restaurant on the beach about a quarter of a mile uptown from the ferry. Great cerveche but everything else in the town sucked.

Good place to go if you need to make money but NOT to visit or live in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong, I love Presidente. But forget about finding it in Mexico. There are some quite good Mexican beers, though. Have you tried Bohemia or Dos Equis???
