I heard that the members of Aventura were not full blooded Dominicans.......or that the members of the group were born in the states or something. Maybe that takes away or adds to their look. I am not as familiar with the music or group as most of you but I don't like to know a little bit about what I am listening to and I ask questions. Me being new all this, I like them. But I am also young and black and can get with the "NY nigga" look..... NL

yo, i dont know what's the hate toward's aventura about, I'm saying, Obsecion was a hit, and everybody can agree, whether you like it or not, but they kept there music going, most of the tracks on thir latest cd's have been off da hook. Now, aventura is music for all people, it's bachata music not music from an american boy band like n' sync, they appeal mostly to girls, because their music projects mostly to girls, they don't take sides, or go against girls, with their lyrics, they sympathize. I like Aventura, no lie, in the beginning when they first did, their debut, but aventura's music changed, it began as regular bachata music, but they are just like any other artists, their goal is to popularize their music and they go with the flow, if ny thug music (or whatever it was called before in the message board) is popular and best selling why not make a fortune and combine regular bahata music and "ny nigga music"(as mentioned) and make hip hop spanglish bachata music. Like all artists as Aventura, They want success, that's why most artists are now deciding to do their "crossover", to combine their spanish music "with popular american music" and hit the top 10's across the nation. It's all business, and aventura is in the business world, they want thier music to sell, they want the money, the fans (even if they are all girls)and of course success. I guess this explains my point! But I still don't understand why people got to hate on artists, Whose making the money?

Alrigth...you guys can't leave El Chaval out of this one. One of my all time favorites was "una pena" I think that's the title of it. I can listen to that song over and over again and not get tired. It goes something like this:

Hace tiempo que estoyyyyy....sufriendo esta penaa..aa
y hace tiempo que estoyyy....muriendo por ellaa..aa

I'll leave it right there...whoever heard this song knows what I'm talking about. There is another one on that album that I also think the title is "Calmensita" that one is also a killer and for me it would actually be a tied with the first one.

Let me know if any of you guys know what I'm talking about....someone here has to like those songs!

"NY NIGGA LOOK"
Jan offense taken why do you think Aventura is so pegao for that reason they are in toon with the younger crowd who are out buying all the cd's and that "NY nigga" look is just as normal look as anything else it is all where you are raised. If they didin't look that way they would portray what they are not
They just leasd the way for all others no coming out just like them Nueva Era, DL1.

Now for my favorite there are so many...
Amor de Madre - Aventura (I think is better then Obsesion)
Amiga Venena - Zacharias Ferreria
Yo por tu amor - Joe Veras
Maestra - Elvis Martinez
Oja Blanco - Monchi & Alexandra
Pobre Diable - Teodoro Reyes
El hombre que tu ama- Joe Veras
Alex Montero
Who can name them all

Default don't hate the players, hate the game

No one can reasonably deny that Aventura is on top. This is why so many are hating on them. It comes with the territory. They will cry all the way to the bank.

"everyone get in line, we're the new leaders..."

Speaking of Aventura, there's this "group" in Argentina who also call themselves Aventura and sing the exact same songs. They're on TV and selling CD's with the same exact songs. It's unbelievable to me that the real Aventura hasn't sued them...I had to see it with my own eyes to believe it. Grupo Aventura De Argentina

They might not know about this...if there name is Grupo Aventura de Argentina then technically the name is not the same...I hope they have their songs copyrighted or have copy rights of any of their remakes. Way to go....trying to sell by being a "wannabe".Maybe you know it's like Tulile ans Elvis Martinez song....obviously one is bachata and the other is merengue...i can't think of the name but it goes...dile a tu padre que mi pal de arretes son cosas de hoy....I hear it every day on the radio and can't think of the actual name...

Lissy,

The main singer being purely Puerto Rican would contradict the singer himself. If you listen to the album of Obsession you will hear him say in the song "Mi Puerto Rico" (which is a merengue) that he is half Puerto Rican. So, it wouldn't make any sense for him to put in a song that he is half Puerto Rican if he really isn't, don't you think? My two cents.
