Might I be permitted to ask you a question? What sort of psychological satisfaction do you gain from posting these questions? It obviously isn't for the content of the answers . You're 22. You should be out with people your own age, deaf or hearing, having fun. Why aren't you?

Be it as it may, I never fell in love with this place. It made the short list of retirement places because of the beaches, mountains and coconut palms. After a coconut hit my pool deck and a few days later one crashed though an awning, the coconuts lost their appeal. But the beaches are still great and the mountains are still here, and so am I. The people? People are people everywhere. Some good, some bad. It depends on what a person is looking for. There's nothing special about the culture here IMO.
I do think that Dominican drivers are very religious, believe they are saved and want to get to Heaven with all possible haste. How else could a person explain their irrational behavior behind the wheel, lack of common courtesy and consideration known in most parts of the world?
