Default Name Change in US with DR Marriage Certificate

I just received my marriage certificate from my wedding in the Dominican Republic. I want to change my last name to my new last name.

Although I know the document is legal around the world, because the document is in Spanish will I have a problem at motor vehicles, the social security administration or when I go to change my passport? Do I need to have it officially translated? Thank you in advance for your help. I just want to be prepared.

Way to tell'em Klora!
I've been a member of this forum for only a few weeks now and I feel I've found a wonderful medium to learn and share information about my country within this great, diverse community. But it seems some members, and unfortunately some of the longer tenured and seemingly more insightful and knowledgable ones, who should set an example for and encourage the new members to participate , seem to get online and feel the need to reply to every thread even though they have nothing to contribute and instead water down the value of the forum with some tasteless comment. A good timely joke is always appreciated and refreshing but comments that insult someone's intelligence, like the one above do nothing but discourage people from participating.
I hope you find someone that can reply to your thread with some helpful advise.

Most married women here and there add their husband last name to theirs. Its been aceptable since the late eighties, this is done in case of divorce you keep your maiden name and all your paper work is allready taken care of. Even degrees are done this way, advoidance of future problems.
