Oh so you want to earn $90 a month, three lousy meals (if lucky) and an out of date weapon?
Get real.

Can you? Possibly. Should you? Not is your wildest dreams.

Get an education and then do something with your life.

I thought it was against regulations for using narcotics in the military.

From a vet, thanks for serving. As far as serving in the Domincan armed forces, you really ought to forget about it unless you're Spanish is fluent and you were ranked as a Captain or higher and have some speacial gift they need. You're best bet to get a job here as a civilian will be through the Embassy.

I you are sf and fluent in Spanish, you could apply to be transfered to one of the DEA "teams" they have here. I don't know who runs the program but you could call the Embassy - I think the Navy has the authority but I am not sure.

One of my wife's friends son just finished his second term as a marine MP Sgt. Now has a job working for the Dominican national police service as a Captain. Your US Military rank would not necessarily be your Dominican rank. Perhaps depending on your background, training would be the area they would want you. Wages will be low.
