So this makes him... a typical Dominican politician. Not any different from let's say; Amable, Diandino, Felucho, Alejandrina, Elijio, etc.

I have not seen a Dominican Politician that does not steal, Every public employee thinks he is above the common laws. That laws only applies to use the civil population, the spoil system, To the victors belongs the spoil just as when a city or country is strip bare by the conquering forces. I am one of the greast example in Santiago, the ayuntamiento gave a pld the a contruction permit to violate the property line into my property, a party member thinks that I am a lesser citizen than he is.

No, they just about destroyed the country for four years.

I guess you were not in the DR under Hippolito Mejia, or you wouldn't ask the question. PLD - come solo. PRD - COME TODO

Well, that fact is that until there's a REAL change there'll be the back and forth like we're having which, I must admit, leads us nowhere. BTW, I did live for little under a year under Hipolito's government and saw many flaws, especially with the way the economy was run, so I'll give you that. The fact remains, though, how long is Leodron Fernandez going to use the previous government to cover his own failings? Also, if you want to talk about corruption, look up Sun Land and you'll get a textbook example.
Back to my original point though, Hipolito's regime didn't hold off gradually opening Taveras dam during a torrential rainstorm until the last minute, then opening the floodgates at midnight without warning. Am I bitter about seeing my hometown let down in such a ghastly way? You bet I am.

Of course not, Hipolito would've let the dam collapse so the deluge would wipe out a few "monitos". That last word is not mine, but Hipolito's.
Of course, you don't have to take my word, Hipolito's words are crystal clear (forward to the end of the video and put the speakers at full volume and listen carefully):
Hipolito Mejia parte 2
And to think that he was leading the PRD, the party of José Francisco Peña Gómez. Aaaah, what an irony...

Remeber that PLD people are expert talking so beautifull, if you do not have brain you will thing that its true that eh palante que vamos, but the only that are going palante are themself, From PRD goverment only 2 last years was bad and the people did not miss the money, now, Dollar rate is stable and down but its so hard to get the money to solve your problems.
and Now, Quien te subio el Arroz ???????
Quien te subio la Gasolina ???????
Quien te subio todo???????
and Baninter Hole was not Hipolito Fault either.
Y de que se van, se van.
