QUITE THE SELECTIVE MEMORY YOU HAVE. The price of gasoline...etc are not controllable by the DR government as this has to be bought on the world market and if all the subsidies were removed and Dominicans had to pay what in reality they should pay there would be riots. It has always been hard to get the money to solve your problems. All I know is in the circle of Dominicans I know, most are better off now than they were under the PRD.

Hipolito's government did enough damage for things to be bad for the next 8 years. Why don't you find out where Hipolito is now? Since he cares SO MUCH about the country, why isn't he helping?
The last 2 years were a time bomb, and while we still had cash from the last 6 years of government, he was busy making the pit we live in now.

Yea yeah...in the next presidential election (2012), assuming LF wins today, they'll still be blaming Hipolito for ALL the country's woes.

Haha, well, I never said LF was great. In fact, I agree with the statement that all politicians steal... but I think the PRD's 2000-2004 was one of the worst cases of mismanagement in my country.

I'm a PRD supporter, but I begrudgingly agree with that...damn pph (they've done the party irreparable damage and I for one don't know if it'll recover). Plus the thing is also that they hammered the last nail in their own coffin by spitting on Peña Gomez' grave and reinstating re-election. I like what MVM has to say and I think he can move the party forward if he only shuns the old guard that defrauded it. What actually happens if he's ever elected remains to be seen though.
