Ok...not the real election. I posted about our mock presidential debate yesterday so I thought I'd share the election results as well. Here's the breakdown. All students (pre-K through 12th grade) voted. The faculty, staff and employees did not participate.
1st Place Leonel Fernandez with 57.34% (168 votes)
2nd Place Amable Aristy with 33.79% (99 votes)
3rd Place Miguel Vargas with 8.87% (26 votes)
Total - 293 voters
We will break down the results and interview "voters" next week about WHO they voted for and WHY. In general, it's been a great project but it's a lot of work if you do it right (which the students did from start to finish).
I'm curious to see if our results at all mirror the actual results. Leonel may be about the same but I think Amable and Vargas would switch places in the real world.
