Hugo, I know things are tough. Are you planning a trip to the DR "just in case"?

Default Dominicanos Este es tu pais

Actually, I was pretty successful in the USA, Australia and England:

So why, you are not there especially if you were very successful in USA, Australia and England?

Sooner than you think, things will change for the better, because "you can fool some of the people some of the times but not all the people all the time”, Abraham Lincoln.

As a matter of fact you need to be reminded that Spanish is the official language of D.R. and that what this Bu... Sh' is all about. You killed the thread because you're the "MAN" con el control y los cojones. Que lindo, eh? El ultimo que rie, rie mejor, nunca lo olvides!!!

CHIN, CHIN spoken like someone lacking in Education. At least use proper Spanish not slang. English is the official Language in the USA, but there are thousands living there that speak only Spanish, so what is your point about Spanish being the official language in the DR. There is a reason why the DR government has English classes.

So should Companies/corporations owned by Dominicans give up 50% of their profit or re-invest it by law.

rtejeda, there is most certainly a debate to be had about exploitation in this country - economic, social, physical, emotional..........a whole range. And yes I could see an argument that companies who export their profits to accounts abroad are or could be contributing to such exploitation. Certain players in the Baninter scandal come to mind, for example. But I don't see this as an exclusively gringo phenomenon. Again certain players in the Baninter scandal come to mind.

Apart from the reactions you are likely to get from foreigners to your assertion, the problem is it weakens your argument by focussing in on a narrow segment when exploitation is also carried out by Dominicans on Dominicans. So if you want to debate exploitation (maybe in Debates Forum) fine and patriotism is great but it needs to be patriotism based on reality.

And it needs to be debate grounded in the principles of debate, not a limp lettuce swinging contest against one company.

But that is the irony of it all, and what makes it so funny.
I did misspell your name, and the spellcheck feature picked up on it and gave it's suggestion.
This doesn't mean that you are, or that I think you are a retard, it just means that spellcheck thinks you are, lol.

OK. All jokes aside.
I admire your skills in English and I would never make fun of your mistakes.
I made the correct guess about ship and cheap.
I was confused and still am about what you meant when using the word absolved in the context in which you used it.
I said so then and I still wonder what you meant.
I did not ridicule your English.
I wanted to understand what you meant.

My immediate reaction, when I first saw your post was that you were a Communist.
I took the time to look at your previous posts and I saw that you had the Communist discussion with others, back in '06.
At that time you denied that you have Commie views and seemed quite upset, to the point of mentioning libel.
I took that into account when first responding to you.
Bear in mind that you are now talking to someone who reinvests 100% of what he earns (little as it is) back into the country.
Every single pesos that comes my way stays in the DR.
So my views are not skewed by self interest.
That being said, your economic concepts are absurd on many levels, moral, ethical, but most importantly, economic.
It wouldn't work.
It's bad enough that it would be wrong to try and impose that type of restraints/controls on foreign investors, but it just wouldn't work, except in a Communist system.
So either you have to change your views and remain a capitalist, or be a Communist and keep your present views and ideas.
You can't be both.
It's one or the other, take your pick.

Do you equate Tejada's unusual economic views with a lack of spirituality?
Could you explain what it is that you do mean?
