The more I read about the senator the more I like his hutzpa. He is not going anywhere and now says he will provide proof that general Hilario González González the commander of the National Police in Bani, was involved in this drug business. Think of the changes that could blow over this country if more politicians take this kind of stance. Gutsy.

I couldn't believe he would come out saying stuff like this publicly, specially if he believes you can't trust the government as they are involved in the trade. I for sure thought (and still think) is just a matter of time before they get to him. I thought it was very brave, but stupid...

I believe "stupid" is the wrong word to use for someone who would risk his own life for the betterment of his country. Don't you think he deserves more respect?

And the story continues.....The chief of the National Police mayor general Rafael Guillermo Guzmán Fermín "guarantees" that soon all the details of the executions of the seven individuals that were involved with the drug trade will be known. He met with Senator Wilton Guerrero who will give him evidence that will compromise general Hilario González González in the drug business.

Senator Wilton Guerrero says he will present proof, on Tuesday in the Senate, of the links between the Bani Police Chief (whom he has already named as complicit in narcotrafficking) with a high ranking Government functionary - so far unnamed but presumably will be identified Tuesday. THIS is what people have been waiting for - the following of the narco chain of command right to the upper political echelons.

We obviously can't speculate here as to who this person is, although I am sure there are many with ideas.

The Senator says he is fully aware of the risks to himself - currently wears a bullet proof vest & has 3 trusted bodyguards. He deserves our utmost respect for his willingness to pursue this issue.
