Default DR agency giving to Clinton Foundation?

Saudis, Indians among Clinton foundation donors - Yahoo! News

I found parts of it interesting. For instance,

"Other foreign governments also contributed heavily to the foundation.

AUSAID, the Australian government's overseas aid program, and COPRESIDA-Secretariado Tecnico, a Dominican Republic government agency formed to fight AIDS, each gave $10 million to $25 million. Norway gave $5 million to $10 million. Kuwait, Qatar, Brunei and Oman gave $1 million to $5 million each. The government of Jamaica and Italy's Ministry for Environment and Territory gave $50,000 to $100,000 each."

"COPRESIDA-Secretariado Tecnico, a Dominican Republic government agency formed to fight AIDS, each gave $10 million"

That is very interesting. I wonder how that organization is funded to begin with. Although I am not familiar with that agency, it is possible it gets partial funding from the US to begin with, thereby effectively becoming a conduit for US government funds being transferred to the library.

Again, I'm unsure of the particulars in this case, but it seems like a lot of money for a Dominican agency to be giving a private foundation, regardless of where the funds originate.

One thing that is refreshing about this is the insistance of the Obama transition team of a full accounting of these funds.

Sounds like US taxpayer money being funneled through this agency to fund the Clinton foundation and his library. Can you believe how close this duo came to coming back into the White House? One of the most corrupt administrations in at least 100 years, they put Nixon to shame. The only reason they survived and Nixon didn't is that they had the propaganda machine of the liberal press on their side.

The Clinton Foundation's site has crashed due to the number of people trying to access the site.
Fox News has the list of donors on its site and the DR AIDS agency is listed at $10-25 million USD.

Skimming through COPRESIDA's web page, it's indicated they get their funds from two sources, that being The World Bank and the Global Fund.

Banco Mundial. Consejo Presidencial del Sida. Repuesta Nacional al VIH y al Sida.

Fondo Global. Consejo Presidencial del Sida. Repuesta Nacional al VIH y al Sida.

Portfolio of Grants - DOMINICAN REPUBLIC & the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria

That's $10 to $25 million that won't be going to help the unfortunate folks in the DR living with HIV/AIDS. No doubt it's better used in the Clinton Library.

And I don't suppose Clinton has any guilt pangs about it, even though he's been parading through the world shedding alligator tears for the AIDS problem...or he wouldn't have accepted the money.

The Dominican media reports the story with no opinion, at least Clave Digital, but skip down to the reader's response. They are mighty ****ed off

El Copresida ha donado entre US$10 millones y US$25 millones a la Fundación Clinton :: CLAVE digital

That was my initial reaction although I see Copresida admits buying medicine via the Clinton Foundation & sending funds for this:

http://www.elcaribecdn.com/articulo_...459&Seccion=63

but what if............some commercial outfit here wanted a bit of future insurance in the light of Mrs. Clinton's future role? Might this be possible? Could a commercial entity have channelled funds though Copresida in order to remain anonymous? And if that speculation has any legs who might be flush enough to do so? I'm not thinking the narco-industry but a bona fide commercial entity, something of the size of, let's say, Central Romana Corporation & Consorcio Vicini who already support Aids work through Batey Relief Alliance.
