HAHAHAHA....they are thieves, that is why. They see the government as a big piggy bank that they have the key to...None of these people were worth a million before the PLD government and thus the saying "From Chancleta to jipeta!" (From flip-flops to SUVs)

Jee I'm glad someone is awake. Leonel makes Hippolito look like an amature pickpocket at a Mafia convention.

Maybe better than the US gov. where they have to vote not to receive the raise, they have it set up so its automatic.

The "RAISE" you are rto is called the COLA, "Cost of Living Allowance" , which rate is set by law. All Government employees, Active Duty, Reservists, Retirees, Veterans receiving pensions/compensation, and Legislators, etc., get the same percentage of base pay increases when the rate kicks in. That's automatic and what the Congress (that's who you are referring to) voted to forego, but had to pass a law to do so.
Do you see any Dominican Legislators doing that?
Your comment is in bad taste on the subject.

mwoytha;

I was refering to the COLA in the USA, NOT the undeniably ridiculous raise that the Hacienda Ministry gave themselves.
Maybe you should learn to read and understand ENGLISH before posting rebuttals in the future,HUH???
