They are now debating the nationality issue, which promises to be just as contentious. Grab your chicaron and beer, kick back and watch the fireworks start.

Chiri: Not to mention that I bet you 'Peso a Moriqueta" that some of those same legislators who voted in favor of Article 30 have bought the morning after pill and/or even had some of their "girlfriends" had abortions to cover certain infidelities.

You could guarantee that, everybody, each and one of them, "some" sounds a bit apologist to those guys. To think that conception is done at the time of ejaculation is ignorant at best, there is no conception in the first 24 hours after a sexual intercourse. I am catholic but these radicals guys makes me harder to believe in them.

Note: I am not in favor of an abortion law that allows people to have abortions at will, you got pregnant without protecting yourself, you be responsible and pay the consequences. But I am in favor of abortion in special circumstances.

Extreme: Totally with you on this one. I so wish someone like Nuria could do an investigation and expose them for what they are - A bunch of hypocrats. Maybe find a few ex-girlfriends who can confess...

I don't think they will ever pass a law like this in the DR. Con esa mente tercermundista, pasaran muchas decadas or centuries before some human rights can be recognized. I think a military takeover would be great for the country....A ver conho si logramos un poco de orden.

las FFAA contienen la misma mierda compadre.
the local military sorrily runs the same corrupt self-pocket-filling-line than the politicians, otherwise i would right away vote for that military takeover.

that's right,
i would say it has never been better than the actual situation.
hey, nothing is perfect,
but compared to history i would say the Dominican Republic did very big steps forward and is still on the right way to go on for the better,
while btw other countries including some big brothers are moving in huge steps
a la mierda.
go RD go
