I am a social worker in the USA. I am trying the help a 19 yearold dominican teen who came to the USA undocumented. We may be able to help her but first need to get her birth registered. Seems that her mom left the hospital and did not follow up on some paperwork to register the birth. her mother says she was born in a hospital in Bani. Her mom says the hospital was on a street called Maximo Gomez street, near the market. Does anyone know the names and address of hospitals on this street? Thanks Barbara

There is probably only one hospital, the local public hospital Nuesta Señora de Regla. Tel + (809) 522-3213

Good luck with contacting them. If you are not successful, I suggest you try and contact one of the international organisations with local birth registration projects for advice (Unicef, Plan International, World Vision).

This listing also came up in Yellow Pages but I have an idea it is not a hospital for humans!

what kind of help does she need? as she is an ILLEGAL immigrant, ticket home? How do you mean she came to the USA Undocumented at what age?
