Unhappy Indian Citizen on F-1 with Dominicana in DR

I am an Indian citizen living in the US on F-1 Student Visa Status for the past 2 years.
I am interested in marrying a Dominican woman who resides in the Dominican Republic. Her chances of getting a visit visa are slim.

1. What are the chances of myself marrying her in DR and then she getting to US on a F-2 visa?
2. How long does it usually take?
3. Should I hire a lawyer to undertake the proceedings?
4. How much does a lawyer usually charge for such services?
5. If I hire a lawyer, do I hire one in DR or in US?

Please help.

Thank you,
Sincerely,

Indian Man

Default What Gemini?!!?

This is a serious query.

If anyone has any INTELLIGENT or COHERENT information on the issue, I would really appreciate to hear from you.

We have addressed the matter in our page on Visas for Dominicans at http://dr1.com/legal/migration/foreignvisas.shtml

You may also want to check out the helpful links with information on the subject provided by the US law firm (http://www.american-immigration.com/index.htm) that has posted a link in our link exchange page.

I would not get my hopes up. I predict that under the cicumstances you will not as a foreigner on a student visa be able to sponsor another alien, married or not. Maybe back to India but I doubt to the States

having trouble bring some one in espcially after 911 student visas are almost impossible. I also think it will be awhile before the US relaxes policy.LilSam
