Question Cedula?

I understand there are medical tests to aquire a cedula. Chest Xray, Vdrl, HIV Genral physcial. What happens if you flunk them all? Do you still get it?

I don't mean to be rude, but if you flunk ALL of those tests, a cedula is the least of your worries

If this is a serious question, which is hard to believe, the answer is "no". They wouldn't require these tests if they didn't care whether or not you passed them.

However, to get your cedula you need your residence. To get your residence you must take the medical. If you allready have your residence, Ken is right, the only thing you need is your residence card and your passport. How's that for confusion.

But you must pass the same tests to get your residence.

The Dominican government requires these tests of anyone who wants to remain in the country. The fact that it requires these tests tells you that they don't want you if you have one of these conditions.

Correct me if I am wrong but I believe I got my cedula before I got my residency.

I think that there are NO tests for the Cedula only the residency.

Well Ken, I got my cedula first. I remember I got held up from having lunch with Crisco because they spelled my name wrong on the Residency card and then the laminating machine broke and took two hours to fix. We had to wait till it was fixed to head home to Sosua.
