Default Renumbering Revised Condo Rules

At the last annual assembly of our condo association, a number of changes were made to the rules. Approval was by the required number of votes. The changes included deletion of two articles no longer having any meaning since there are no mortgage holders on the complex. But in doing so, we didn't renumber the remaining articles. Is this something that can be done clerically, or must even this be approved by a future assembly?

In Dominican legal practice, when an article in a Code, Law or Regulation is abrogated, the articles following it are not renumbered. A mention is just made of the fact of the repeal.

For example, in your case, assuming that Articles 15 and 16 of the condo regulations have been voided, the text of the regulations should look like this:

Art. 15.- Abrogated by the ___Resolution of the Condominium Meeting held on [date].

Art. 16.- Abrogated by the ___Resolution of the Condominium Meeting held on [date].

Art. 17.- [Text of Art. 17].

Thanks, Fabio, that makes sense. Glad I asked.
