necessary documentation to open a checking account

I think i did not make myself clear last time.

Here goes my questions.
I recently receive an inheretance money in pesos and i live in the US. I will be traveling to Dom.Rep. in the next few days. I would like to know how and what do I need to open a checking account in Sto.domingo.
I have never had a bank account there, I did lived there once.

ie. Birth cert. Personal I.D., credit cards ? What?
and in what serious and reliable banks are left in Sto. Dgo.

I just opened a bank account three months ago in Banco del progresso with just any ID , they did not ask any bank references etc , and issued right away a debit card with what I can purchase in shops
