Question Employment laws concerning sickness absences of staff

We have had our gardener working for us for 4 months now. He is hardworking and innovative, so we feel lucky in that respect. But... he has had quite a lot of sick days already, mostly due to his having accidents while driving his motor bike to/from work. I cannot find anyone information on DR employment law concerning sickness absence, entitlement of employees, payment of medical costs... etc etc. I would appreciate any information anyone can point me towards.

Thanx

Default Work absences

I understand if an employ in DR is not going to work for 2 consecutive days with out present an reasonable cause
accident or sickness the employer has all the right to cancel
that employ.

But if the employ show enough prove about not going to work
for health problems then he is right.

The best thing is try to talk to a lawyer before you take a step,
there many peoples who likes pretend being sick to get profit from the company or employer next time before hire some one
sign a contract for a year or six month.

Most of the employ when they have long time working for a company or for some one during long time, they fell tired and all do they want is the employer cancel him/her to get the (prestaciones) all the profits $

so find out with the employer about how does he feel at work and ask him if he likes or not to work at that place.

Good luck,

The simpson
