auto insurance/fianza judicial-Mr. Guzman?

I am asking Mr. Guzman for his opinion but everyone is welcome to contribute their experience and or opinion.

In an automobile insurance policy in the DR, what is the fianza judicial used for? Is it a bond to assure that you will appear in court or is it a non refundable fee that the court receives?

Also, do you consider 300,000 RD sufficient coverage for the fianza judicial?

When you pay a premium for “fianza judicial”, the insurance company assumes the obligation to pay all the legal fees and expenses involved in obtaining a bond up to the amount specified in the policy, in your case RD$300,000. This amount may be insufficient if there are deaths as a result of an accident.
