Question tourist visa

How hard is it for a Dominican Citizen to obtain a tourist visa to visit the US? What steps need to be taken to get one.

Very very difficult. You pay a fee and apply at the US Consulate in the capital. Wait some weeks or months then they say no and keep the money.

If you have a lot of $$$ in the bank, and/or a business, own a house, etc., you have a fair to good chance. I would bet the "average" DR citizen has almost no chance.

Same for here in Canada, they are quite concerned that nobody will leave, which happens a lot.

Default It all dep[ends on who and what you are

Single, professional, no property, no car, no wife and children.

Just about ZERO possibility.

You need to go to Banco Popular, pay for the "cita" and fill out the form. You wait for your appointment.

You take two Photos 2 x 2 in color.
You take your Bank statements for the past year
You take all your credit card records, too.
You take your property title(s)
You take the title of your car(s)
You take the "Patente" for your business and the bank account records for the business.
You take your marriage certificate and the birth certificates of your three or four children.

If it looks like you have something to come back to, then you will probably get your visa. Otherwise, no.
