Does anyone know any information about this company? I paid them to do an investigation, I paid them and they have not provided me with anything. I have emailed them and called them and nothing. I am wondering if it is even a real company?

Either you will get results or the lack of the results won't have cost you anything.

Maybe a Private Investigator could check this firm out for you.

Maybe I'm a cynic, but the hotmail account for his business operations could've been a first clue...

Good luck! I agree with Rick, pay when you get your results. If they claim they don't do business that way, tell them if they don't want your business, there are lots of others that do.

I doubt you will find many, if any, professionals that do work without a retainer. What prevents the client from not paying once they get their results?

He/She already said they paid upfront so paying them after they get the results is not an option. If you have any other contacts in the DR, maybe get them to pay a visit to the "supposed" business address.

I did not know that hotmail is not available in the DR? When I did research on the internet for private investigators in the DR that "BUSINESS" came up on infoguys.com. so I thought they were for real. They told me to send the first 50% before they started and when they were finished they would want the other 50% before they would send me my information. I guess I got had. I do not live in the DR so if any knows any information please let me know. I called the phone number but I don't speak spanish so when the girl answered the phone I had no idea what she said?

No, no. Hotmail is alive and well in the DR - I think Trina meant that if a business is using hotmail as their sole e-mail address... it's a sign (i.e. anyone, anywhere can hook-up with a hotmail address so buyer beware)! Most legitimate businesses (at least in Canada and USA) would use a local internet extension e-mail address for legitimate business transactions.

Oh ok I guess next time I will be aware and do a little more research before I give away my money.
