Default american children

my fiance was just told by a (nosy) friend that my children could not attend Dominican schools because they are American. Is this true?

Why? did she give a reason? never heard of that. Assuming we're talking about private schools why wouldn't they want to accept your money? Your children w/ most likely be tested so they have an idea where to place them, but that's the only obstacle I see. Are they bilingual?

Default ???

his reason was because their father is an "American"(white, anglo, etc) as opposed to me being PUerto Rican? i don't get it at all. they are registered at the school. (it is and ENglish speaking school) they are not bilingual but will be taking classes this summer.

he is also saying i can be deported. i assume i can go their and apply for my papers right away.

My nephew was born in the USA and he went to school in Santiago for years without any problems. So don't listen to the friend(ex-wife).

Default Schools in DR

Im an American of German background and I went to school in the Dominican Republic for 3 years. Most of my cousins were born in the U.S. and all went to school in DR and infact they still live there.
