Even tho' I have x-ray and specialist proof of my condition the CPP people kept saying I could work - that the disability had to be "prolonged" and "severe". Good thing my DDD is
degenerative so it only gets worse as time passes. Good thing when the nerves pinch and I lose the feeling in my feet,legs,hands or arms it's NOT
severe .
I fought for over two and a half yrs and went all the way thru to the ombudsman........

so good luck! I couldn't even get my lousy $98. per month that I've paid into!
Too bad I wasn't on welfare before or I'd a qualified with NO PROBLEM!
Funny thing is 12 yrs and one heart attack later I'd have qualified after the heart attack if I had still been gainfully employed

even tho' I'm in better health now than I've been for a long time......go figure!
