Buying an existing corporation ran in the neighborhood of $2500 USD.

WOW they really saw you coming. My one experience with the highest priced attorney on the North Coast I paid 1200 for a corp. Before and after it cost only 1000 US.

Try emailing this person for a quote and I will bet it will be less than 1k US. A friend just went to her for permanent residency and it only cost 600US which I thought was cheap! She is a attorney with a Doctorate from France which surprised me.

Speaks wonderful English and is a very pleasant woman.

She charged 600 for the residency Jimmy but I would bet that since that is 60% of what I paid and I thought I got a decent deal at the time that she would be less on a corp. That is why I said to email her.

Regards,
Scott

Incorporation costs vary according to capitalization.

A corporation capitalized at RD$100,000 pesos (approx. $3400 US) is usually quoted in the $1000 to $1500 range by large law firms.

A corporation capitalized at RD$10,000,000 pesos (approx. $340,000 US) is usually quoted in the $10,000 to $12,000 range, of which more than $7000 are expenses.

Before deciding on the amount of capitalization, the client should consult with his tax attorney and/or CPA.

Finally, the incorporation process is much more complicated in the DR than in the US.
