Documents needed for permanent residency

Hi

My temporary residency is about to expire (March 15th), and I would like to know exactly what papers I need to get the permanent one.

I called immigration, and the lady said it was the same process again, but looking on their website, it seems like you don't need your birth certificate for the permanent one.

Also, I was wondering if I needed a contract. I don't have any regular job wih contract right now, would it be a problem???

Their website isn't really up to date. Just go to the office and ask for the paper of what you need.
