Greetings , I hope you and yours are well . Thank you for your contribution to this site .

How difficult is it to aquire an extradition order (document) to have a felon who's fled the united states returned or surrendered .

I've been told that it is very difficult to near impossible .

Do the judges' (magistrates') orders have power throught the land , or are they bound by countys , or areas and or time limitations .

If possible , would you or your office email me an informational package on your firm ?

You need to find the link to drlawyers (here in DR1.com) and write to the actual lawyer for the information vs. this public web board.

you need to speak to law enforcement in your area. you can file a complaint with them and they will inform you what can or cannot be done. they judge will do the rest. not you.

why do you want to know? Is it to recover a posted bond ? (having it excreated. ) for some other reason ?Depending on why there may be different remedies.

The US has an extradition treaty with the DR but ... it was written and signed into law in 1909. Try doing a search for the InterAmerican Convention 410.

I would suggest reading the publication thoroughly, it might be able to answer some of your questions.

Interesting and it is good to see it covers mutiny, piracy, bigamy and larceny (which is theft of $25) and slavery as well as the usual murder, rape , etc.
