Default Buying assets in DR for export

I am hoping to get some recommendations on the best way to proceed on a purchase of manufacturing equipment that is located in DR. Basically, I am looking to purchase an entire plant full of equipment. The equipment would be immediately loaded in shipping containers and sent to the U.S. Is there any way to ensure that assets in DR have clear title? What steps might be taken to ensure that no party could step into the transaction and throw a wrench into the works?

Regards,

Mike

You can find out if the machinery have any liens. It's not somebody that you will be able to do on your own without a lawyer so I suggest that you retain one for the transaction.
