Question buying a property in RD (cabarete)

Hello everybody

I'm from Luxembourg (little country close to france) and I have been several times in RD at different places ( north, west, east and south, center). I really like the place and i would like to buy a flat in carabete as second residence. I was just wondering if anyone of you could help me in "feeling" the real estate market. Let's say that for an european RD real estate from a global viewpoint is rather interesting. Indeed, the combinaison of low prices in RD and a weak US dollar make the real estate market attractive.
But on a domestic viewpoint I don't have any information could anyone give me some information about the domestic real estate market ? such as :
- Are the prices going up from year to year and at what rate ?
- Is the market liquid ? Can i buy know and resell 4 years later if necessary ?
- what's the real estate global trend ?
- What is the real estate market depending on (what could make prices stumble or increase) ?
- Is cabarete a nice place for investing in real estate in RD ?

I know that's a lot of question but this is the money of a lifetime so any help on this matter will be more than welcome .

Regards,
Vincent

You may be interested in real estate, but you are definitely not from Luxemburg. A Luxemburger would never say he/she is from a "little country close to france". Now, really, where are you from?

I'm belgian but live in luxembourg. This may explain why I qualified the country as little country close to France while a luxemburger would have probably said "country between Germany Belgium and France". I hope this clarify your question
