Dominican Passport for non-born dominican through dominican parent

Hey. This week I am planning to go to the consulado dominicano in the city (NY). My mother is a born dominican with a dominican passport. I am a US born citizen of the US and NOT of the Dominican Republic. I am planning on obtaining my dominican passport this week and I was just wondering what I need to bring and how much time I will be in the consulado for.

I plan to bring
-Birth Certificate
-US Passport
-Social Security
-School ID Card
-2 Passport Photos

I'm not sure if all of that is neccessary, but I will bring it just in case. Am I missing something? Also, how much would the passport be? (I'm 16)

I'm assuming you are going with your Mother and she is bring her Dominican Passport and Birth Certificate.

Before going, you might want to call them (or see if there is a website) and make sure you have all the paperwork you need.

I'm GUESSING this task would take most of the day, most of the time waiting on line. In the old days, I remember people lining up hours before they opened up.
