I wonder if you can help.My partner and I are moving to the dominican in a few months time, as we are not yet married would it be better to get married in the dominican or at home. We both live in spain although we are of different nationalities.I am english and my partner is dutch. Thank you for your help Caroline

While we prefer you to use Dominican Republic or DR rather than 'dominican', in regard to you question...The DR does not recognize same sex marriages.
If your partner is of the opposite sex, it doesn't make any difference where you get married.
I do hope you have thought this through, since the DR can be a difficult place to make a go of it.
