Is there a problem with DGM issuing cedulas ?

Hi !

With my husband, we applied for residency (residencia por inversion to be correct). The legal dpt of the company and their lawyers helped us in the entire process.
Now we should have the cedula (My husband completed everything in october and with the children I got everything done in early november).
We asked our legal dpt and the lawyer about our status and they said there was a problem with DGM at this time (internal problem..). They said DGM answered them they won't authorize any residency during the next weeks..

Is anyone here aware of this kind of problem ?

Three weeks ago the Junta Central Electoral stopped issuing cédulas for provisional residencies. This lasted for only about a week or so and the Junta has now resumed issuing cédulas.

I have been told that the suspension was a result of an ongoing investigation on fraudulent residencies.
