Default proof of enonomic solvency questions...

ok so to qualify for residence, how much money would i need to have in a DR bank account?

in addition, would i actually need to invest that money or is the presence of the money in a DR bank account satisfactory?

Default Economic solvency

Your personal assets are not longer important for this issue.
According to the latest information leaflet of the Migration department you will need a guarantor who has economic solvency. This person -before a Dominican notary public- will have to sign two legal instruments:

x A guarantee letter (affidavit of support) signed by a Dominican or permanent resident who is solvent (financially reliable) indicating they take responsibility for the moral and economic conditions (of the individual), living expenses and repatriation if necessary, made before a notary public, and legalized in the General Procuratorship of the Republic.

x Sworn statement of solvency (financial reliability) guarantor signed by the same (person) and two witnesses, made before a notary public, and legalized in the General Procuratorship of the Republic which is accompanied by proof: bank letter, business patent, title certificates, etc.

more or less
