Default When Applying For Residency Question...

do the birth certificate and passort have to be from the SAME country?

for example:

a u.s passport with a british birth certificate....

I wouldn't think so as many US citizens have been born abroad, have foreign birth certificates, and in many cases never declared their non-US citizenship.

I agree with Howmar. There are many US citizens with birth certificates from the DR, for example.The authorities here well aware that people can have one from one country and the other from a different country.
