Default technical question on cild dependancy

in america a man can be made to pay child support if the court proves he is the father of a child , even if he acknowldges the child as his own or not.

can and does that happen in the DR?......

also if a foreign man acknowledges he is the father of a child born in the DR to a dr citizen, will or could the courts in the dr force him to make payments. And if they cant because he isnt in the country can and would they arrest him if he set foot back in the DR?

all hypothetical questions....even if they are POSSIBILITIES

this all assumes that the woman would be forcing the issue.

I realize if the woman never pressed the issue , it would be a moot point.

on another fron in the legal-visa issue....has anyone heard of a medical emergency visa for a dr citizen to make a trip to an american hospital, on very short( emergency) basis.

thanks for the non sarcastic replys

Regarding emergency visa, you may want to send an email to thomasfrank, he brought (or attempted to bring) someone to the US for heart surgery. Here are the threads:

Default Emergency Visa

It can be done but is difficult. See K1 DR yahoo group posts for month of May. An individual got his mother in law such a visa for short term use due to family tragedy.

If there is proof that he is the father, he could be arrested once he has entered the country. This could only be done if there is a prior judgement that condems him to pay for the child support, and he has not paid it as stated in the judgement.

Hypothetically speaking, how much would one have to pay for uno bambino and can one pay some bills instead of giving the mother child support to blow on herself?

Can the mother force the alleged father to take and pay for a DNA test?
If so, how much would this cost?

Just curious.
Gracias.
