Question Founding an NGO in the DR...

Can anyone give me information about forming an NGO in the Dominican Republic - or even where I can got to get the information (internet???). I have been doing free-lance development work here for many years and some folks are saying it would be beneficial to be recognized officially... I'm not interested in $$$ from the DR government for the work I do (I am aware of the controversies regarding this)... I am sufficently supported by folks and organizations outside the country... I am just wondering about making it all legit... Any comments???

The legal formalities for incorporating an ngo are very straightforward. I'm sure Mr Alfredo Guzmán can provide you with advice.

Default I want to steal for once

I would also like to know how to create an NGO so I can steal from these F@#$ers for once... I am just so fed up with the corruption and the ignorance that continues to plague this country. No nobody does a ****ing thing to confront the problem.

imo any corporation can be an NGO, specially if non-profit, it will be more evident in the articles of incorporation, bylaws and actual practice

NGO is just the term used internationally to designate a non gov organizations,

even a church can be an NGO,

I incorportated a NGO outside DR, the intention is to start operations in DR soon,

what is it that your are doing, freelance, PM me if you want to keep it private.

our focus is community development, education and access to technology...
