In the USA and other jurisdiction when a civil complaint or lawsuit is filed the plaintiff can summon the defendand to appear in court either using a marshall or a private citizen who will sworn he delivered the required documents to the defendant.
Is that the way it works in DR or just a marshall can do it?
if only a marshall can do it then, what about when the defendand is located outside DR?
In the Dominican Republic all services, including summons, are carried out by Bailiffs (Alguaciles), which are public officers directly named by the Supreme Court of Justice.
