Default Document Check List...

when applyin for the provisional residence, you must deposit a marriage certificate in the original/certified copy.

i was wondering if you get that copy back at some point.

Actually, I was able to get my birth certificate back after explaining that in Quebec it's not the same as here where you can get 100 birth certificates easily... Guess I was lucky!

im curious at which stage that was? when applyin for the residency visa?
and who was it that you had to negotiate with to keep it?

That was at the beginning when I was requesting my temporary residency. Told my lawyer was the problem was and she fought it out for me. She probably had a good contact inside that gave her a break...
