Default can I import an old car ?

I have the temporary resience card in RD.
Can I import my car from France,if this car is 12 years old ? (but i am the owner of this car for more than 2 years).

and , if it is posible, have an adress to import cars from france or belgium, or spain ?

bad idea.

legally - not older than 5 years.

but possible.

but it will cost you at least $7-8G easily.

plus cost of shipping.
plus lack of repair facilities for a 12 y.o. french/european cars.

for much cheaper you can buy a newer used car in DR.

I have some connections to buy sometimes very good cars in USA well below market value and ship sometimes to my friends in different countries.
To my good friend in Sosua I shipped 99 or 98 Dodge Neon with only 7 000 original miles.

Neither my friend nor myself at that time did not know about 5 year requirement.
To make it short, it took about a year, about $7000, a lawyer and about 10-15 trips from Sosua to S-Domingo to get it finally!!

Never ever nothing like this!!! UFFF...
