Default Lawyers stole my friend`s cars! How to find them?

My friend was not careful in choosing a business partner. Trusted $15 000 US to a wrong person who wasted them on Casino and girls.

To avoid repaying the funds he is sueing MY FRIEND for owing money to HIM. NO proves or anything. But so far successful.

Recently my friend was abroad and this person with his lawyers came to the parking place and demanded two cars that belong to my friend to keep them in custody as a guarantee.

A week later they said that they have no interest in the cars. My friend`s trusted person went to pick up cars but guardian said that he never saw them.

Lawyers say that they gave them to guardian but they cannot present any proof.

Any chance to find cars, what do you think?

How is it possible that LAWYERS do things like this??!!

What to do?!

I suggest your friend goes and finds himself a good lawyer and does a better job in the future of screening business partners.

Lawyers are a dime a dozen here in the DR, every street has one.
It's the good ones that are hard to come bye.

My friend has a licensed lawyer in this case.

For personal safety concerns my friend prefers to stay overseas for the time being.

To his trusted person this lawyer says for whatever reason - "I strongly NOT recommend you to report these cars to police as stolen!"

The guardian says - " I know where they keep your cars. For 10 000 RD I can tell you, but you must just give me money and cannot go with me to Moca"

Sorry, you friend is an idiot!!

Go to the POLICE and complain. Pay the POLICE RD$5000 to arrest the guardian!!! and make him talk.....and if he gets his cars back, pay them another RD$5000!!

HB, sheesh!

Yes, it is the same story back from September (actually from January!)

I told him about going to police myself too.

He is worried that his lawyer warns him AGAINST doing it!

We do not think the guardian has any real info. Just trying to get 10 000 RD from him.

But anyway, in my view going to police - is the best option.

Before those cars are not chopped out for parts.

Well, the more I read, the more I understand the reason why Dominicans think money grows on trees. I am thinking of becoming one myself and waiting at the Airport.. Beats working.. M.

Default My man Batich, c'mon! You ain't fooling nobody!

I don't believe a word you're saying! You're just making up stories and writing up like a real dumb foreigner merely to attract attention. I don't buy it!

Listen, I happen to be as thick, dense, and daft as they come, and even I wouldn't commit the stupidity, you claim ,your friend perpetrated.

You want sympathy? You'd better come up with a better sob story than this!!
Sheeeeessh!!
