Default Red light running and necessary documents

Please excuse me if there is another thread that addresses this issue. I was reading the DR1 front page news about running red lights and noticed the requirements that one must normally have in their car including the following:

"They will need to present their car review sticker (revista), driver's license, car insurance, prevention triangle, Red Cross kit, seat belt, and car plate sticker."

For the revista, drivers's license, insurance, and the plate sticker (placa) I understand what is required. (even if they don't usually have revistas and plate stickers when I need them

I am guessing the prevention triangle is a red/orange reflective triangle on a stand that you can place near your car if it breaks down. Do you need just one?

Where do I get the Prevention Triangle and a proper Red Cross Kit?

What are the correct contents of the Red Cross Kit?

I'd hate to have my car confiscated based on not having these essential items ( I say this somewhat tongue in cheek, but I would not like to face the reality of having a serious problem)..

Place like La Sirena etc sell them. The Red Cross kits is a normal in-car first aid kits. Lots of places sell them for around RD$300-400. The red triangles you can buy all over the place, in Santo Domingo that is

Default Any place on the North Coast with such items?

Thank you Robert, but I try to avoid Santo Domingo like the plague.

Does anyone have locations for the triangle and Red Cross Kit on the North Coast?

I'm sure you can find them in Puerto Plata or even at places like Playero in Sosua.

Farmacias have the botiquin (Car first aid kit) & repuestos have the triangle (would you believe triangulo). These were the items listed on the old pink sheet second copy when you went to Transporte Terrestre for revista i.e. you have probably already confirmed that you had them in the car when you went for revista.........

(If stopped on your way to repuestos turn on all 4 emergency trafficators and a warning triangle will illuminate on dashboard of your vehicle. Worked for me. ).

Cool

Because of the news item on DR1 Friday I went to Central Audio on 27 de Febrero across from Ortega y Gassett in Santo Domingo yesterday and bought a botiquin (first aid kit) and triangle for 575 pesos.

Another reason this board is an invaluable resource for living in the DR.

I'm in a heap of ca ca myself, since I eat about 50 lights a day. I got all the stuff they want, but I guess I'm gonna hafta slow it down....

Now, how do I carry all that stuff while I'm out riding my Harley, terrorizing all the residents on the North Coast??
