Residence vs. Physical Presence; Official Gazette

I just researched the Naturalization Law (please forgive the translation):

"Paragraph I. The interruptions of residence by trips to the foreigner of not more than a year of duration, with intention of return, will be computed in the residence in the country."

Paragraph II. The Executive authority will have capacity to revoke any naturalization when to the favored one:
d) Transfers its address to the outside within ańo of obtained the naturalization

Art. 8. If the naturalization is granted, Decree EC will publish in the "Gaceta oficial de la República Dominicana," so soon as the corresponding publication right is paid.

Anybody out there know practically if this means someone can (with all documents in order of course):

- get the 1st residence permit (valid for a year) at a registered address

- fly out

- come back 360 days later and stay long enough to get the 2nd residence permit (valid for a year) at a registered address

- come back 185 days later and stay long enough to apply for citizenship

- upon getting citizenship, fly out but keep a registered address (as with the residence permits) for at least 1 year

Also -

Anyone got a link to an online version of the "Gaceta oficial de la República Dominicana" ? Does it really list the naturalizations?

There in no free online version of the Gaceta Oficial. For a susbcriber-based legal research service on Dominican law, go to Lexlata (www.lexlata.com). (I'm a cofounder and Director of Lexlata.)

All presidential decrees, including the ones regarding naturalizations, are published in the Gaceta Judicial.

I'm unable at this time to answer your question regarding how the time for naturalization is computed because I'm presently out of the country with to time to access the statute, etc.
