single status affidavit...

I am getting married in Barahona, DR, and I was wondering how can I go about getting a single status affidavit? What do I have to do and where do I go. Different places tell me different things. So, I was wondering if someone has any idea, could you please help me out? I will greatly appreciate it.

see lawyer thats my intended had to do,collect 7 witnesses address and phone number,lawyer check each get signiture and get signed,,cost $1000.00pesos,all done on proper documentation as my fiancee needed to prove on ukvisa application,,this to show she now or never been married,,,i glad to say visa application accepted me happy,8 months paperwork and mucho money
