Default Liquidation Info Please for an Employee

My fiance works at a restaurant in Cabarete.... her employer is trying to get her to quit my making her life miserable at work rather than laying her off due to a seasonal slowdown.... what rights does she have...... help!!

You can use this to work out liquidation, assuming the finace is 1) Dominican or 2) a legal DR resident.

I believe that the OP is saying that the employers are trying to get her to quit, so as to circumvent having to pay her "liquidacion".

Thanks for responding so quickly... I have the link. Glenny is a Dominicana and her employer is trying to make her quit rather laying her off and paying the liquidation..... who can she/we turn to for help?

Seasonal slowdown?? In February? Every time I pass through Cabarete it seems to be pure zinging withtourists!

Has Glenny been to the local Secretary of Work offices (I think there is an office in Sosua but for SURE there is one in Puerto Plata) to get their advice? Would you be able to go with her to ensure she follows it through correctly or are you out of the country? ~ Grahame.
