Can I change jobs, while in residency process ?

Hey guys, I'm in the process of applying for residency, I already submitted all of my papers, including the carta de trabajo of my current job. But lately, things haven't been going that well at work (pay wise), so I'm considering quitting and getting a new job. Do u think it will cause any problems ?

As best as I know, it makes no difference.
Many people get residencies and they have no job at the time.
